Sam Trickett wins Best New Player award
Team Titan’s up and coming Poker star Sam Trickett has been given the Best New Player award at the inaugural British Poker Awards ceremony in London. This has been a hard won prize for Sam, who cashed in an incredible 6 WSOP events in Vegas, and then went on to come 4th in the DeepStack Vilamoura Portugal for a prize of €139,680. He then went one better and won the PartyPoker World Open for a prize of $200,000.
Sam has risen up the poker ranks this year at a stunning speed after winning almost £1 million so far this year from his tournament play alone. His quest for poker greatness has taken him all over the world, from Las Vegas to London and on to Villamoura Portugal. Sam has left a long and distinguished list of poker pros in his dust as he moves onwards and upwards.
Trickett started out playing Sit’n’Go tournaments for $10 each online at home in Nottingham and has since risen to true poker greatness. As a former professional footballer, his competitive spirit has clearly given him the edge at the poker tables. We have proudly watched his game improve while he has been playing as a member of Team Titan and we can’t wait to see what he will do next!
