218 players returned to the poker room of the Corinthia Hotel to play Day 2 of WPT Prague. Team Titan’s Christophe Benzimra took his seat with a stack of 69.8K, just below the average stack.

Level 11 & 12  – Blinds 600/1,200 ante 200 and 800/1,600 ante 200

Christophe Benzimra stole the blinds twice during the first hour but with the increase of the blinds our French Titan pro was down to 60K when he lost half of his stack.

Christophe raised to 3,600 in middle position with J♥J♦ and the big blind 3-bet to 8.6K. Christophe paid.

The flop came 7-3-2 rainbow and the big blind opened to 9K. Christophe raised to 20.5K but his opponent moved all-in in one second. Christophe decided to fold and was right as his opponent showed pocket Queens. Christophe was down to 30K.

Then during the next levels, Christophe played really tight and well. He grinded slowly to 40K and then 45K without seeing a showdown through the end of Level 13. The average was up to 118K with 144 players still in.

Finally in the middle of level 14 with blinds 1,200/ 2,400 ante 400 Christophe was eliminated. A really active player raised to 5.1K from the hi-jack. The player next to him quickly called. Christophe 3-bet to 18K from the button. The small blind announced All-in. The initial raiser and the caller gave up and Christophe Benzimra called hoping for a coin flip.

Unfortunately his opponent held A♣K♠

The final board came: A♠8♣9♣10♥Q♦

Christophe Benzimra finished in 126th position of this WPT event. He will be present for the EPT Prague from the 5th to the 10th of December alongside his two compatriots Yann Brosolo and Florian Desgouttes. Also participating will be our German Team Titan member, Marvin Rettenmaier.
