Euro City PokerTour – Prestige, Luxury and Big Winnings

You’ve got the WPT, the EPT, the WSOP, and now there’s one more poker tournament acronym you need to know – the ECPT.  The Euro City PokerTour, sponsored by Titan Poker, is the latest addition to the prestigious live tournament series on the European poker circuit.

Each ECPoker Tour takes place in a different luxurious European city, with five-star casino amenities and substantial prize offerings.

Our inaugural event, ECPT Madrid, took place in May 2008 at the luxurious Casino Gran and attracted 150 exceptional players from around the world.  Greg Metzak took the title with €40,000 in prize winnings!

After the huge success of our first tournament, ECPT moved across Europe to the Alpine Palace Card Casino in Salzburg in April 2009. Players enjoyed both the relaxing atmosphere of the Alps, as well as high quality, competitive poker play. This time Jacob Chen beat out the international talent and walked away with €47,000 prize money, and the prestige of the ECPT Champion Trophy.

The third time was truly a charm as we celebrated our largest turnout in the Casino di Venezia inVittoriosa Malta, from November 12-16, 2009. The location was the most beautiful and exotic yet, the talent more impressive than ever, and the winnings even more grand.  Bo Sehlstedt, the big winner, walked away with a check for €51,382.

The next big event is just around the corner, and we will undoubtedly outdo ourselves this time as well. Stay tuned as we announce the location and all the details on how you can participate.

How to Qualify

While each tournament has its own specifics, in general, to qualify, number one, you must download the ECPoker Tour software.

You can then either qualify in one of our daily, ongoing Satellite Tournaments, where you can win a full ECPoker Tour package (including accommodations, buy-in and flight/spending money), or you can buy-in directly to the action at the ECPT Main Event.
