Marvin Rettenmaier Wins FPS Paris Title

Congratulations to Team Titan player Marvin Rettenmaier from Germany for winning the France Poker Series Grand Final in Paris last night. Marvin went into the Final Table as chipleader and retained his commanding lead, eliminating four of the other finalists on his way to capturing the €244,036 first prize.

The six-day, €1800 + €200 Main Event attracted 567 starters, with some of the best players on the French poker circuit, including Rémy Biechel, Alexia Portal, Arnaud Mattern, Thomas Bichon, Marc Inizan, Guilhem Delapoarte, Loic Its, Adrien Allain, Sylvain Ribes and Michael Tureniec. Second place in the tournament was Basile “Basou” Yaiche, who won €153,000.

The total prize pool at the FPS Grand Final Paris Main Event was €1,020,600, whereas the World Poker Tour (WPT) National Series Paris tournament across town attracted 188 players with a €5,000 buy-in for a total prize pool of €940,000. Team Titan’s Sam Trickett will start play on the Final Table of the WPT Paris in 7th place.

Team Titan player Joël Benzinou from Belgium finished in 24th place in the FPS Grand Final Paris for a prize of €5,400. Marvin was the only player not from France to make the Final Table of the event.
