Marvin Rettenmaier Is Poker Newcomer of the Year

Congratulations to Team Titan member Marvin Rettenmaier from Germany who was selected as Poker Newcomer of the Year by German poker news website PokerOlymp.

The award was not only for German poker players, but an award for all poker players – Marvin’s competition included Canadian Jonathan Duhamel who won the 2010 WSOP Main Event.  Quite an achievement for Marvin after a spectacular year of poker!

The Poker Newcomer of the Year award was given to Marvin based on votes by visitors to the PokerOlymp website.

Other nominees for the award included:
** Jonathan Duhamel (the Canadian poker player who won the 2010 WSOP Main Event)
** Joseph Cheong (3rd place in the 2010 WSOP Main Event)
** Michael Eiler (20-year old German winner of the 2010 EPT Vienna)

Marvin had a remarkable year at poker tournaments around the world. Some of the highlights of his achievements in 2010:

** Three cashes at the 2010 World Series of Poker.
** 2nd Place at the Marrakech Poker Open for $73,880.
** 1st place in the €1,000 No Limit Hold’em event at IPT Nova Gorica, $49,717.
** Winner of the €3,000 No Limit Hold’em Main Event at the Spanish Poker Tour Grand Finale for $150,696.

We look forward to another spectacular year of poker with Marvin Rettenmaier in 2011.
