Yann Brosolo of Titan.fr finished in 11th place at the EPT Prague tournament for a prize of €35,000. He came close to making the final table only to be crippled when he was holding pocket aces.

Hello and welcome to the 5th edition of EPT PokerStars.com Prague in the prestigious Hilton Prague Hotel. Yesterday, a total of 234 participated in Day 1A of the tournament and many more are expected for Day 1B.
Marvin Rettenmaier from Team Titan unfortunately didn’t get through yesterday. Even though he had mostly a remarkable day, he was eliminated at the very end of the action and will not continue in the tournament.
Winter Edition
Online poker players can enjoy the holiday season at Titan Poker by taking part in the various activities of the room’s Winter Edition promotion. More than $50,000 in prizes is up for grabs during the months of December and January and players will be keen on winning their share.
The Winter Edition promotion will appeal to avid poker players of all types. Players are ranked according to the Points they earn at cash tables with $3,000 in prizes going to the top players. 218 players returned to the poker room of the Corinthia Hotel to play Day 2 of WPT Prague. Team Titan’s Christophe Benzimra took his seat with a stack of 69.8K, just below the average stack.

Hello everyone and welcome to Prague, the beautiful capital of the Czech Republic. The casino of the Corinthia Hotel is hosting the WPT Prague and Day 1B of the Main Event started at 14:00 with 340 players. Yesterday 231 played Day 1A. With a total playing field of 571 players, WPT Prague sets a new record for the largest WPT staged in Europe.
This is a re-entry tournament which means that the players who were eliminated had the right to buy-in a second time on Day 1B. The structure of this €3,500 NLH re-entry event is the WPT standard structure: 30,000 chips – 1 hour levels with blinds 50/100 to start.
Online poker is currently illegal in the United States. Efforts are being made to regulate the game both at state and federal levels, but nothing substantial has yet been pushed towards legislation.
There are many parallels between the ban on online poker and the years of Prohibition in the 1920s. Business has been diverted from legitimate operations to underground and/or foreign operators. Instead of protecting consumers, government actions have infringed on the rights of citizens to decide what to do in the privacy of their homes and how to interact with society.
In both cases, the bans became increasingly unpopular and advocates of change emphasized that repeal would generate enormous amounts of much needed tax revenue.
Dennis McCartney, known online by his nickname “Drilling100″, was one of Titan Poker’s twelve-player delegation at the Irish Winter Festival recently staged in Dublin. Although Dennis bumped out of the Main Event in 85th place, short of the money, he had a better showing in the €200+€20 Pot Limit Omaha Side Event.
“I never got enough traction to increase my chipstack,” Dennis said of his gameplay in the Main Event. As for the Omaha tournament, he said “it was fun and we had a ball. As I mentioned, I ended up second!”
