1st level – Blinds 50/100 -
Marvin Rettenmaier is sitting at the same table as Welsh player Roberto Romanello (winner of the last EPT Prague) and the French player Ilan Rouah.
After one hour of play, Marvin Rettenmaier is down to 26K. An unknown player raised to 250 in middle position and Marvin defended his big blind. The flop came 10♥ 8♣ 6♥ and Marvin check-called the 700 bet of his opponent.
Turn: J♥
Marvin Rettenmaier bet 1500 and his adversary called.
On the river, 5♦ the German player fr0m Team Titan bet 3050 and was instantly called.
Marvin Rettenmaier had A♥Q♣ and his opponent won the pot with a strange A6.
Level 2 – Blinds 75/150 -
Marvin confessed to us during the first break of the day and after two hours of playing: “I didn’t play a single hand during this level and I am still with 25K. I just need a hand to increase my stack because there is a lot of action at this table”.
Level 3 – Blinds 100/200 -
In middle position, a player raised to 550 and Marvin discovered pocket Kings in middle position. He flat-called and the French player Ilan Rouah called from the big blind.
Flop: 2♣ 9♠ 7♣
Rouah checked, the other player checked as well and Marvin bet 925. Rouah raised to 2,525 and Marvin made the call. So we have a heads-up on the turn which came 10♥.
Ilan Rouah bet 3,250 and Marvin took a few seconds before making the call.
On the river A♥, the Frenchman fired a 9,700 bet and Marvin Rettenmaier called quite quickly. Rouah announced “It is for you” showing 8♥9♣ and smiling. Marvin turned his K♠K♦ over and Romanello congratulated him for this hand. “Thanks” answered Marvin.
Marvin Rettenmaier is up to 41K.
Level 4 – Blinds 150/300 -
Nothing special happened for our Team pro player during this 4th level. “I had some hands but nobody paid me but it will happen later”.
The 262 players still remaining in Day 1B went on a dinner break for 90 minutes in two parts because of the big field.
Marvin Rettenmaier has 42.3K and the average is 34.5K.
