Congratulations to Team Titan’s Sam Trickett for finishing in sixth place at the World Poker Tour (WPT) National Series Paris for a prize of €43,545. Sam was chipleader going into Day 4, but went on tilt. Even so, he managed to reach the Final Table for an impressive finish.

The tournament was won by Russian Natalia Nikitina, who took home €243,830 in her first ever live event.

A total of 188 players participated in the €5,000 Main Event. The official name of the event was the World Poker Tour (WPT), National Series, Euro Finals of Poker (EFOP) Diamond Championship.

Posting on his Facebook page, Sam Trickett commented that he would not be returning to play a WPT National Series event any time soon. His participation lasted five days, one of them with just about an hour’s play, and the Main Event overlapped the High Roller event, so he couldn’t play in that.

On the Final Table, Sam commented, “Today they took so long with the TV table so every hand took 5 minutes! Never started on time, always waiting around and last of all the most important thing was the average stack was 10bbs on the final…..shame!”
