
Sam Trickett
Team Titan’s British player Sam Trickett has been shortlisted as one of four candidates for the European Player of the Year Award following his amazing year at tournaments round the world in 2010.
In September, Sam was the winner of the Best New Player award at the inaugural British Poker Awards ceremony in London. The 10th Annual European Poker Awards ceremony will be staged in Paris on February 13, 2011.
Sam enjoyed a stellar year in 2010 with a total of $1,071,356 in poker winnings. He had six cashes at the 2010 World Series of Poker, including a second place finish in the $5,000 No Limit Hold’em event for $505,725.
In August, Sam finished in fourth place at the EPT Vilamoura for a prize of €139,680 and then in September he was the winner of the PartyPoker World Open in London, taking home the first prize of $200,000.
The European Poker Awards are the most prestigious awards given to poker players each year in Europe and this year’s nominations are dominated by British players, including Liv Boeree, Jake Cody, Toby Lewis and James Bord.
