British Poker Awards
Team Titan’s Sam Trickett has been nominated for three British Poker Awards, which will be awarded to the best British players in a London ceremony on September 3rd. His three nominations are in the categories of Best Cash Player, Best Tournament Player, and Best Social Media User.
Fans are invited to vote for Sam and help him win in all three readers’ choice categories.
In the inaugural British Poker Awards in 2010, Sam received the Best New Player award.
As per the British Poker Awards website, “The second annual British Poker Awards isn’t about self-congratulatory back-slapping; it’s about honouring the players who have done us so proud on the world stage this year.”
After a spectacular showing in 2010, Sam started 2011 in style with two huge cashes at the Aussie Millions. He won the Aussie Millions $100,000 Challenge for a prize of $1,525,000 AUD and followed that with a second place finish in the $250,000 Super High Roller for a prize of $1,400,000 AUD.
With a 6th place finish at the World Poker Tour (WPT) National Series Paris and two cashes at the World Series of Poker, Sam’s total earnings for the year are now $2,972,759.
Sam faces tough competition in the various categories. In the Best Tournament Player category he is up against Triple Crown winner Jake Cody and in the Best Social Media User the other nominees include British poker gals Vicky Coren and Liv Boeree.
