The seventh season of the European Poker Tour has begun in Tallinn, the beautiful capital of Estonian.
The buy-in of €4,250 is one of the least expensive on the EPT circuit.
Day 1A of EPT Tallinn had 182 players registered, but only 89 managed to qualify for Day 2.
It is not a big field in terms of the number of players, but that’s to be expected as a lot of players are still on holiday after the WSOP in Las Vegas. Read More »

Sorel Mizzi is the kind of player who plays 50% of the hands, and the kind of player who plays them perfectly most of the time.
So, it is really not a surprise to find him sitting in front of 85,000 chips after 2 hours and 30 minutes of play.
Level 2: Blinds 75/150:
A player in early position limps in, Sorel Mizzi makes the call and a third one in the blinds completes and the flop comes: 10h-3c-7c
The first player bet 450, Mizzi calls and the third player does the same.
The turn is 6c. The first limper opens the pot at 2,000. Mizzi raises to 6 K. Instant call from the player in the blinds and a call from the first limper.
And on the river, the Jh, the first limper checks, Mizzi bets 14 K and the last opponent instant calls once again.
Fold from the last player implicated in this hand.
Showdown:
Mizzi: 8-9
Opponent: 4-5
Sorel Mizzi is one of the chip leaders at the moment.
The number of 106 players was confirmed for day 1 and 103 are still remaining at the end of level 2.

Nice stack for Mizzi
