Very bad luck for Titan Poker player Robert Van Den Bogaert as he encountered two fatal hands:
1. AA vs 88 and a 8 on the flop giving 3 of a kind to his opponent
2. The next hand,Robert went all-in preflop with JJ vs AA. J on the flop gave him some hope but an A on the river kicked him out of the Irish Winter Festival.
The Irish Winter Festival 2010 tournament has started: 347 player registered for a buy-in of €1,650. The prize pool has reached the €520,000 but the registrations are still open and the payment structure not yet announced.
We are now on Level 4, blinds 100-200. Players are fighting to stay in their seats and only 23 of them have been kicked out at the moment. we are now expecting a very long night of poker… but our players will be able to eat and drink very soon at the end of this level.
Congratulations to Titan Poker team member, Marvin Rettenmaier from Germany, who made it to 3rd place at the Partouche Poker Million in Spain.
At the beautiful Casino Grand Madrid, Marvin battled a tough field of players who all wanted a piece of the one million Euros prize pool.
Marvin gave a wonderful performance but busted out when he went all-in with 99 against 66 pre-flop. The flop came out K36 and the turn and river produced no miracles for him.
Marvin took home 31,000 Euros and a lot of prestige.
Just like that, the 41st Annual World Series of Poker is left with 747 very happy people at the end of Day 4. Most of the remaining players are sure to be pleased to have made it this far. Among those still in the money are Pro Titan Team member Joel Benzinou who is still alive with 50K.
With a total prize pool in excess of $100 million for the sixth consecutive year, it’s no wonder big things are happening at the World Series of Poker:
Among those no longer in contention are Ciorteanu Virgil Marius, “cidul”, the 3rd place finisher in the 2010 World Challenge Romania, who busted out in 614th place. Ciorteanu was able to stay around long enough to walk away with $21,327.
Some of Titan Poker’s other package winners still in the game include Jack Ellwood of the United Kingdom, and French players Damien Luis and Michael Maitre.

Andre Doehner’s $200,000 win in the Monthly Million on 14/02/10 was not only based on skill. According to him, luck and perseverance both performed a big role in his victory.
In the final minutes before winning the prize, Andre was not nervous and he was feeling sure of his game plan that was working for him. He stressed the fact that winning the first prize did require the drawing out of favorable cards, but his overall skill is what brought him this achievement. This was his third shot at the Monthly Million and it turned out to be lucky #3 in the end.
Andre is a No-limit Texas Holdem poker player and it is his dream to travel to play live poker at the Main Event in Las Vegas. His tip for those who wish to get their hands on the Monthly Million 1st place prize of $200,000 is “NEVER GIVE UP”.
The following is part two (of three) of Titan Team player Jan Bjoersland’s experiences playing poker at the Dusk Till Dawn card room in Nottingham, January 8 – 10, 2010.
