ECPokerTour Barcelona 2010 – Day 2

111 players made it to Day 2 of the Main Event of the ECPT here in Barcelona. They were all looking to make it to the last three tables because only the final 27 places are paid. After an action packed day, 27 of the world’s best players remain in the hunt for that amazing first place prize of € 170.000.

Day 2 started with a bang when Cedric Rossi, former professional football player from France, doubled up in the first hand of the day when he rivers a straight with A3 of hearts against his opponents top set nines. The flop came down 9 5 2 with two hearts, giving Cedric a straight and a flush draw. His unfortunate opponent never saw the straight coming and lost almost all his chips to Rossi after a 4 on the river. Cedric dominated his table for the rest of Day 2 and ends the day as one of the chips leader with 361.000 chips.

ECPokertour Barcelona 2010 – Day 1

The turnout at the ECPT Barcelona 2010 has been tremendous. 291 of the finest poker players from all over the world entered the tournament, creating a staggering  € 727.500 prize pool, with € 170.000 going to the champion.

We have seen a mixture of seasoned live pros, online qualifiers and Titan sponsored players.

Some of the biggest names in the tournament are Frenchmen Fabrice Soulier and EPT Warsaw winner Christophe al Benzimra, Sweden’s delightful Cecilia Nordenstam and ECPT Malta winner Bo Sehlstedt. Also in the mix are Canadian Titan pro Sorel ‘1mper1um’ Mizzi and Danish Dynamite Jeppe Nielsen. Read More »
