The schedule for the 2012 World Series of Poker has yet to be announced but already one important detail about the Main Event has been leaked to the media.
“A few hints on WSOP schedule coming tomorrow…you won’t find the November Nine returning.”

Jonathan Duhamel, a 23-year-old from Boucherville, Quebec , overpowered his opponent from Florida, John Racener, in Heads-Up play that lasted 43 hands to win the 2010 World Series of Poker Main Event, the WSOP gold bracelet and $8,944,310 in cash.
The tournament, which started back on July 5 with 7,319 players, came to its stunning conclusion when Duhamel’s unsuited Ace-Jack held up against Racener’s K-8 in Diamonds.

7,319 players started their game play on July 5 in the 2010 World Series of Poker $10,000 Main Event. Only nine players returned on November 6 for the Final Table. And then they played until two players remained.
The winner of the $8.94 Million first prize and the prestigious bracelet will either be Canadian Jonathan Duhamel or American John Racener. Duhamel holds a massive chip lead.

At the end of Day 5, there are three Titan Poker players left in the Vegas action.
These players have already secured themselves a place in the money.
Damien Luis still holds a prime position at 35th with a massive 1,736,000 chips.
Joel Benzinou of Team Titan is placed 145th with a modest 629,000 chips.
Last but not least we have Michael Maitre in 153rd place with 574,000 chips.

Just like that, the 41st Annual World Series of Poker is left with 747 very happy people at the end of Day 4. Most of the remaining players are sure to be pleased to have made it this far. Among those still in the money are Pro Titan Team member Joel Benzinou who is still alive with 50K.
With a total prize pool in excess of $100 million for the sixth consecutive year, it’s no wonder big things are happening at the World Series of Poker:
Among those no longer in contention are Ciorteanu Virgil Marius, “cidul”, the 3rd place finisher in the 2010 World Challenge Romania, who busted out in 614th place. Ciorteanu was able to stay around long enough to walk away with $21,327.
Some of Titan Poker’s other package winners still in the game include Jack Ellwood of the United Kingdom, and French players Damien Luis and Michael Maitre.

The World Series of Poker* (WSOP*), running since 1970, is an annual poker event in Las Vegas. This year marks the 41st time that this series of huge tournaments (the biggest on the yearly poker circuit) is played.
The World Series of Poker* tournaments (televised exclusively on ESPN) will be held at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. The action begins on Thursday May 27 when the first of 57 separate tournaments gets under way, culminating with the Main Event, the $10,000 World Championship of No Limit Texas Holdem. In total 57 gold bracelets will be up for grabs. The final table of the Main Event will be staged with a delay, just like last year, and is scheduled to take place from November 6 through November 9.
