Marvin Rettenmaier
Team Titan players Marvin Rettenmaier, Yann Brosolo, and Joël Benzinou are participating in the World Poker Tour tournament in Amneville, France. 542 players in total started the €3200 + €300 Main Event.
Joël Benzinou finished Day 1A with a chip count of 137,600, while Marvin Rettenmaier finished Day 1B with 202,000. Along with Yann Brosolo, they will soon begin action on Day 2.
The WPT Amneville tournament is taking place at Seven Casino d’Amneville. The casino is located in the northeastern France, a short distance from Metz, Nancy and Luxembourg.
54 players will finish in the money, with first place taking home €433,000 and an entry to the WPT World Championship at the Bellagio in Las Vegas (worth $25,000).
French player Yann Brosolo was doing well on the first day of the tournament and his chip count passed 100,000 at one point. On that day’s last level of play, however, he had a bad run with his pocket Queens falling to a set of 9s, and a KJ falling to a straight.
German player Marvin Rettenmaier had an excellent start to the tournament, although initially he was swinging up and down in the chip counts. He lost big pots to French player Jean-Jacques Mars and online poker pro Florent Leprovost, but towards the end of the day he eliminated Full Tilt pro Michaël “metzmagny” Ostreicher.
We wish our team good luck on Day 2 of WPT Amneville.
