All the players are seated, cards are back in the air and ECPokerTour Malta Day 2 is underway.

While the players were entering the poker room, I noticed a table on the assignation file, that I should watch carefully – Table 8. Andreas Schmidt and Adam York, both Titan Team players, are seated at this table, as is Fabrice Soulier.

The first objective for all the players today is simple -  enter the money-list. 18 players will be paid, and a lot of qualifiers will be happy if they are In The Money.

The second main objective is to still be here at the end of the day. Why? Because, if you’re still in the tournament at the end of day 2, that means that you’re in on the final table.  Day 2 will finish with the last nine players.

Five minutes after that the play resumed, I saw a huge hand on table 8: Titan versus Titan

Blinds are 400-800 ante 100, and Andreas Schmidt raised to 2,000 from middle position. Adam York, seated to his left, re-raised to 5,100. The action came back to Andreas, and he called.

The flop was 2-6-2 and Andreas Schmidt check-called another 5,400. On the turn K, both players checked, but Adam York bet another 8,300 on the river 6. Andreas Schmidt tanked and folded.
